                               Guarantee: (page 2 of 6)

Your puppy is guaranteed free of genetic/congenital eye or hip problems

For one year from the date of birth as follows. The genetic/congenital problem must be one that affects the quality of life of the puppy/dog.

If such problems resulting from this breeding occur during that time,

The following must be provided to me in order to validate this warranty:

A) I must be notified immediately upon a veterinarian diagnosing there is a problem that affects the quality of life of your malamute.

B) Documentation (receipts or labels) that the malamute has been fed only good quality large breed puppy food until a minimum of six months, and thereafter, good quality large breed Dog food since purchase. This is necessary because large breed puppies are more inclined to exhibit development bone problems if not fed foods controlling calcium, phosphorus, and calorie levels in their diet which promotes good skeletal development.

C) Documentation that all series of shots, worming and other regular veterinarian treatments for your area (heartworm, ect.) have been received by your puppy when due. Also documentation on weight of your malamute at various stages of growth.(when you have a vet appt., They always weigh them and record it on your receipt.

This is to ensure your malamute has not been allowed to become overweight, causing any developmental problems.)

Brown's Kennels further agrees to guarantee the Alaskan malamute for genetic defects that would be life treating to the puppy/dog. The diagnosis must be made before one year of age. Brown's Kennel does not pay for any vet bills or travel expenses associated with this condition. If the pup should die of this condition before the end of the first year, an autopsy is required. If the claim is valid, Brown's Kennel will require that the animal in question be spayed/neutered or euthanized.

Preventable Illness:

Brown's Kennels will not accept a claim for a preventable illness.

Then the Alaskan malamute in question will be replaced with another animal of similar appearance and equal value becomes available (limited to the original purchase price paid) . If the replacement puppy/dog is offered and not taken, then the claim will be considered null and void from that point forward.  All veterinary care is the responsibility of the owner.
This Guarantee is made by Brown's Kennel to the buyer. The buyer should not assume that any guarantee follows the dog in the event the buyer transfers ownership of the dog to another party, it does not.
After 48 hours if the guarantee applies, no money will be refunded and another "like" (limited to the original purchase price paid) pup will be given in its place.
Any claims as a result of this guarantee must be made within the 48 hour time period, or the 1 year time frame for congenital defects.
Any claims as a result of this guarantee must be accompanied by a veterinary statement and any other documentation required by Brown's Kennels.
The decision to replace will be at the sole discretion of Brown's kennels.

If the buyer elects to keep the pup/dog, no replacement will be issued and the owner shall be considered to have forfeited all claims.
No replacement will be made to any owner who has his/her dog destroyed or makes the dog unavailable for autopsy by a veterinarian acceptable to Brown's Kennels.
Replacement is limited to the original amount paid for a pup/dog. In the event the owner chooses a dog that is more expensive than the one being replaced, the cash difference must be paid to Brown's kennels according to our payment policies above. Shipping costs are always the responsibility of the owner.

All replacements must be made within 90 days.
If the owner chooses not to accept a replacement within the time limit stated above / or refuses to pay the balance of the purchase price, if any, of the selected replacement pup/dog, then the owner shall be considered to have forfeited all claims.
Acceptance of replacement puppy finalizes the guarantee and the owner shall be considered to have forfeited all future claims.
In the event a replacement puppy is unavailable, Brown's Kennels will extend the replacement time period. The extension may be renewed every 90 days (with a final 6 month limit) by written request (non-email) of the owner.  Brown's kennels reserves the right to refuse any further extensions if the owner who is due a replacement fails to accept a particular puppy that he/she has requested to be held. If arrangements cannot be made to ship the pup or the owner refuses to pick him/her up by 8 weeks of age, the owner will be responsible for any additional handling fees and charges and the pup can then be sold to a legitimate buyer.
